1000 North

Have you ever been to Jupiter? No not the planet! Jupiter, Florida! I have family that lives over in the area so I frequent there often.

I am always looking for new restaurants to try throughout the state of Florida. I was lucky to come across this gem 1000 North. My husband and I are huge Michael Jordan fans so when we heard Jordan was investing in an amazing restaurant on the water we knew we had to check it out.

I was blown away by the service, food and how gorgeous the restaurant is.

We sat inside because it was a chilly night for Florida but was not disappointed. The inside of the dining room is so elegant. It is covered in so many unique staples. Everything from the chandeliers to the rustic wooden tables. It was hard not to fall in love with the restaurant.

I started off with a few cocktails and amazed at the creativity and uniqueness. My first cocktail I selected was the Baked Manhattan (buffalo trace bourbon, vanilla, maple, cherry heering). The bourbon was so smooth and had just a hint of vanilla cherry.

The second drink I indulged in was the Casaria (casa dragonis, pama liqueur, grapefruit,

lime, blackberry) it was such a refreshing drink!

While I was enjoying my cocktails they brought out bread for the table. Now let me tell you guys I am not a huge bread and butter person but I am not really sure how to even describe how delicious it was. The butter was truffle, honey and sea salt infused. I could have ate the butter by itself! It was that good!

After all the amazing cocktails it was time to move on to the courses. I started off with the Charleston She-Crap Soup (lump crab, sherry, smoked paprika). Hands down this is one of the best she-crap soups I have ever had. Very rich but not too rich where you won't have enough room for the next course!

My main course was the Maine Diver Scallop “Corn Maque Choux”

(sunchokes, bacon-apple vinaigrette, pomegranate). All of the flavors complimented one another so well. I also had some of my mother-in-laws dish which was also out of this world the Yellowedge Grouper (squash confit, strawberry vierge). My husband had the Maryland Blue Crab Cake (heirloom pea succotash, sweet corn beurre blanc). I am not sure which meal was better honestly. I would order all three again if I had the chance.

Now for the sides. All of the sides are a la carte but we could not pass up the mac and cheese and grilled trumpet mushrooms! The mac and cheese was "A La Carbonara”

(pancetta, english peas, fontina). I have never tasted anything quite like this. The noodles just melted in your mouth and had such an array of flavors.

The grilled trumpet mushrooms were definitely on the healthier side but don't let that fool you. They were far from boring! The mushrooms were grilled to perfection and marinated in miso soy glaze, lime and smoked salt.

At about this time I needed a wheel barrel to escort me out of this amazing restaurant but stuffing myself was definitely worth it. 1000 North surely impressed me and my family. We will definitely be back sooner than later. Maybe next time for there amazing brunch I have heard about?
