A new restaurant has launched in the Tampa Bay area and I could not be more excited!
Anchor & Brine located inside the Tampa Marriott Water Street Hotel (one of my favorite hotels) is where seafood and waterfront dining is brought to another level.
I was so excited to get the invite to preview the menu/restaurant for Anchor & Brine. I was there when Garrison Tavern opened (one of the best sports bars in Tampa Bay) so I could not wait to try all of the delicious food and drinks that Anchor & Brine had to offer.
We were offered some amazing cocktails to try before we started trying all of the amazing food. Like there signature martini "The Brinery" (Tito's Vodka, house-made dirty brine) and "The Violet Spritz" (Gin, Creme de Violet Luxardo, Prosecco, Fresh Lemon)
First off the outside views of Anchor & Brine were gorgeous. Everything from the water-views, attention to detail on all the tables, the gorgeous bars and there were even fire pits outside!
The Seafood Tower and Hiramasa Crudo (melon ponzu, spiced pepita, pickled chile, cilantro) were fabulous and what we started off with. There was so much flavor brought together in these dishes. Also the presentations of the dishes were outstanding. So many pretty colors. They were literally a food bloggers dream.
For salads we tried the Roasted Beets (roasted apple, honey-horseradish, thai basil, toasted pumpkin seed vinaigrette) and Burrata (marinated watermelon, heirloom tomato pistachio, black garlic vinaigrette). Now you know your girl loves Burrata so that was my favorite out of the two. The best part about this Burrata is the cilantro infused watermelon. So delicious and brought out all of the flavors of the whole salad.
We also indulged in the Wild Mushroom Flatbread (goat cheese, garlic cream, spring onion, arugula), Curried Cauliflower (piquillo pepper romesco, puffed wild rice, pickled golden raisin, sorrel) and Calamari (chipotle aioli, pickled chili, lemon). I honestly loved all the dishes but the flatbread had such amazing flavor! This would make a great appetizer before your meal. Also the calamari was the best I have ever had. The pickled chili and crispiness of the calamari was out of this world!
For our entrees we had Providence Cattle Chef-Cut Steak, Floridian Snapper and Bone-In Pork Chop. The chef cut steak was my favorite hands down. So much flavor and was cooked perfectly.
The chefs really knocked the dishes out of the park!
We finished our night with a toast of champagne and some delicious desserts on the patio. The weather was perfect to hang out outside with some amazing people and cocktails.
This will definitely be your new favorite waterfront restaurant. Perfect for happy hour after work or a romantic date night. The restaurant is not only part of the Tampa Marriott Water Street Hotel but will also allow access from the Tampa Riverwalk for people to pop-in and have lunch or dinner. You can also pull up your boat and stop in for a snack.
I will be back very soon for some more delicious food and drinks at Anchor & Brine. I can't wait! Give them a follow on instagram to stay up to date on all of the new food and drinks!
