I remember 13 years ago going to Daytona Beach, Florida for Spring Break and having a blast but honestly not remembering much of it. That is what spring break is for right haha?
With that being said I was super excited to get the chance to go back to Daytona Beach, Fl as an adult and experience some of what the city has to offer!
Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach was were I stayed for two nights and it was an amazing stay! I dedicated a whole blog post just to my hotel stay. If you haven't had the chance to read it. Check it out HERE.
I wanted to highlight a few of my favorite stops while venturing around Daytona Beach, Fl. This way on your next vacation you will know of some great food spots and activities to participate in as well!
Ponce Inlet Dolphin and Manatee Eco Tour was one of our first stops. What a great time!
The tour was 90 minutes and aboard there shaded 32-passenger flat bottom boat.
We cruised the intracoastal waterways between Daytona Beach and New Smyrna Beach, Florida searching for dolphins, sting rays, shore birds, sea turtles, manatees, and other marine life.
Our tour guide and captain were so much fun and made the tour even better! We saw dolphins, a baby sea turtle and a bunch of unique birds I had never heard of before. I honestly learned alot. Our tour guides even pointed out an island called "Rattle Snake" Island. I never knew about this island before but apparently only rabbits and rattle snakes live on it. I probably won't be visiting that island anytime soon haha.
Towards the end of our trip we were able to explore Spoil Islands along the intracoastal waterways and collect shells, look for sand dollars and check crab traps. It was a great place for a bunch of photo opportunities with the lighthouse in the distance!
Now for one of my favorite parts of the trip...the food and drinks! One of my late night snack stops was Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery. Our bartender recommended the Asiago Artichoke & Crab Dip with Toasted Crostini. Let me tell you...this appetizer was a meal itself! Absolutely delicious! We had already eaten at Sessions in our hotel (Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach) so we were happy with just the one appetizer. It was a ton of food!
I loved all of the fun craft beer selections. I went with the Glitter Cannon Farmhouse Ale. (Light-bodied French-style Saison, Bright and fruity with an herbal, lemon hop character, crisp bready malt notes, and a funky, fruity farmhouse yeast profile.) If I wasn't so full I probably would have had three or four of them! I definitely recommend this as a stop and the best part is they are open late and have a late night menu you can select a bunch of yummy food from!
One of our lunch spots was Crabby Joe's Deck & Grill. If you have been to Daytona Beach, Florida I am sure you have dined here before. Terrific food and the best view of Daytona Beach!
I had the B.L.T w/potato salad and my husband had the Blackened Fish Tacos (Pico de Gallo, Asian Peanut Slaw) with a side of pasta salad. I also indulged in a cup of there New England Clam Chowder. Everything was so delicious!
I was able to try the New Corona Refresca "Guava Lime". This is the perfect summer drink my friends. I haven't seen in my stores but when I do I will be stocking up!
Our last food stop on our Daytona Beach adventure was RipTides Raw Bar & Grill. This was a great recommendation from our bartender at the Hard Rock Daytona Beach.
It is definitely a local hot spot with live music and pet friendly outside which I love.
I had the Shrimp Avocado Spring Rolls to start and the Snow Crab Legs with a Loaded Baked Potato for my main meal. Everything was super flavorful and I will definitely visit this restaurant again when I come back to Daytona Beach, Florida.
Overall my trip was amazing. I had delicious food and a fun time. Daytona Beach has a ton of fun things to offer and I wasn't able to do everything but don't worry I will be back in time to check out some more hot spot restaurants, hotels and breweries!
