Sun shining, palm trees swaying, birds chirping, waves crashing and the smell of mojitos in the air. Are you on an island far away from home? Almost, you are at Havana Cabana Key West Hotel.
The new Havana Cabana Resort, formerly The Inn At Key West, sits waterfront in Key West, Florida. The hotel takes amazing art and culture of Key West's neighbors in Cuba.
Havana Cabana Key West was voted third best hotel in Florida in Travel + Leisure 2019 World's Best Awards. This award was much deserving.
The hotel truly takes you over to Cuba without having to take a flight.
Mid-century cars greet you as you arrive and the sound of Flamenco guitars can be heard poolside and in the lobby of the hotel.
Another fun fact is that Havana Cabana Key West has the largest pool in Key West, Florida.
There are many activities you can participate in at the pool like Corn Hole, Foosball, Jenga, Dominos or Ping Pong. Havana Cabana also has weekly poolside events, live entertainment, and other memorable activities like the Key West Mermaid Festival that I was able to enjoy during my stay.
You can also have a frozen mojito or one of your favorite cocktails/food at the Floridita and poolside bar.
Havana Cabana is dog friendly which I am sure alot of my fellow fur moms and dads would love to know! In our room we received a goodie bag for Huck Finn and Daisy which included Portable water bowls, Dog biscuits, Dog Beds, Dog Toys and a
Clip-on doggy bag dispenser with doggy bags. They sure did go all out for my fur babies! They were happy campers.
The rooms were very spacious and blocked all of the outside noise out which I loved. We had a beautiful view of the water on our balcony. Our King Gulf View Room included a king bed, a patio, a sitting area with a double sleeper sofa, microwave, mini fridge, a desk and a flat-screen TV. We had all we needed to get us through our week stay!
Havana Cabana also had in my room the cutest tequila shot station, deconstructed mojito bar, fedoras and some cuban cigars. I sure did feel like royalty!
The resort also had a shuttle that we could take every hour on the hour down to the Mallory Square area. This means we did not have to drive which was nice and did not have to worry about finding parking downtown.
You could also rent bikes through the resort and other activities such as jet skiing, boat tours and even a trip to Cuba. Yup you read that right! You can book through Havana Cabana's Concierge. It is 50 minute flight to Havana and you can even make it back in time for dinner the same day in Key West! Here is a blog post on the day trip to Cuba so you can see what to expect. Day trip to Cuba from Havana Cabana Key West.
Overall my trip at Havana Cabana Key West was wonderful! Maybe you are looking for a weekend getaway or a week vacation either way this Resort you can not go wrong. Thanks for having us! We will definitely be back.
