Vegan & Vegetarian in SRQ

Have you ventured over to Lemon Tree Kitchen in downtown Sarasota yet?

If you are looking for a fun modern restaurant with healthy options Lemon Tree Kitchen is definitely for you!

Today I was able to have lunch at Lemon Tree Kitchen with my favorite foodie gal pal @LetsEatSRQ.

Lemon Tree Kitchen provides healthy dining options that appeal to the everyday diner in a relaxed casual atmosphere. Lemon Tree Kitchen has wholesome clean ingredients, everything is made with love and passion by Lemon Tree Kitchen's culinary staff. They also use locally-sourced ingredients whenever possible, and ensure that the vendors they do business with align with there mission.

There menu items can be modified for those who need or want to follow some of the popular eating plans such as Paleo, Keto, Gluten-Free or Vegan, among other diets. Sarasota is filled with residents and visitors who are passionate about living a healthy lifestyle. Lemon Tree Kitchen allows them to continue that healthy lifestyle when they dine out.

We started off our meal with a couple of amazing cocktails. Augustine Collins

(St. Augustine Gin, lemon, Demerara simple, topped with 221bc ginger kombucha). Very refreshing and the kombucha aids in helping with digestion. It was a perfect addition to our meal and the Summertime Spritz (Tanqueray 10 Gin, strawberry puree, Chandon rose) which is a crisp clean cocktail and perfect for spring & summer.

For our appetizers we had the Salmon & Avocado Sashimi (edamame, aji amarillo, on a himalayan salt block) and the Pad Thai Spring Rolls (lime sweet chile dipping sauce, & peanuts). Both of the appetizers were so fresh and delicious! It was so hard to select which appetizers to try since there were so many yummy and healthy options.

For our entrees we had the Ancient Grain Chopped Salad (fresh veggies, tofu, cold-pressed apple vinaigrette) and the Wood-Grilled Cauliflower Steak (honey roasted carrots & broccoli rabe, butternut squash puree, chimichurri sauce). The salad had this great crunch to it and the tofu was cooked perfectly! The butternut squash and wood-grilled cauliflower gave you that sweet/savory combo which was a perfect!

We were hoping to have enough appetite left to try a dessert but we were full! The portion sizes were great sizes and you ended your meal feeling full but not overly stuffed which was great!

I ended the lunch with a Rodney Strong Pinot Noir Rose'. Our waitress Heather Graham recommended it and she was spot on! She was so knowledgeable about all of the menu items and drinks. It was very refreshing to have someone that knew the menu inside and out and could offer great recommendations! I highly recommend asking for Heather for your server when you stop in to Lemon Tree Kitchen.

Lemon Tree Kitchen is a great way to feel good about eating out! They also offer a Brunch on Sundays until 3pm! I will definitely be checking that out!
